The Attic

With this piece I wanted to combine my interest in stylized shapes and art with my interest in the horror genre by creating a scene in unreal engine heavily inspired by the Tarsier studios game Little Nightmares. It was very interesting and fun to find a balance between the strange shapes in Little Nightmares along with the more realistic approach they have to their textures. I wanted the scene to feel strange and as if something (or someone) might be hiding among all the things scattered around. All assets were made in maya, highpoly versions done in zbrush, they were then textured in substance painter. The motives on the paintings were done in photoshop, as were the textures used for the decals. Everything in the scene is made by me.

Picture of the assets used in the scene, minus the planks used to build the room itself and the decals used to make a mess everywhere.
